It was time for a big girl bed and brighter colors. Here are a few pics. We are still in the process of updating the wall hangings and such. The crib is now in our room waiting for Baby Girl.

Pullen Park Dates
We have been to the new and improved Pullen Park twice in the past month. Once with Adelyn's 'boyfriend' and then again with her Daddy. She had a blast exploring with Everette. The seesawed, rode the train, climbed and ran around. When she went with Daniel, I came for a few minutes on my lunch break and got to watch her ride the boats and carousel. Crazy because I remember riding these when I was little.
Rapunzel Let Down Your Hair
So this morning I helped Adelyn build this "tower" (from the movie Tangled). She loves to wear the tiara/braid that she got at her friend Halle's birthday party. She will come to the edge of the landing and hand me the end of the braid and pretend like she is pulling me up into the tower (her idea). We like to sit there and smell her flowers, sing songs, play a new clapping game and just talk. She is SUCH a girly girl.
Tangled Hair
Pro of having long hair: 2 year old daughter calls you "Tangled" and LOVES to play with it.
Con of having long hair: It hurts!

Juice Boxes and Gold Fish
I am so so blessed to be able to be with Adelyn 5 days out of the week. I am currently working only 2 days out of the week. Mom is still keeping sweet little girl while I work (another huge blessing). When Baby Girl #2 arrives I will be staying home full time. This will take some adjusting for me, because I am so used to being on the go all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy about staying home with both of them, but I will have to adjust. During these last few days of it just being Adelyn and me I am trying to cherish every moment (crying now). The other day when it was warm we had a picnic at the park.
She absolutely loves drinking a juice box. We always buy her the fruitables kind so that she is getting vegetables as well (makes it justifiable right?) :) I just love spending that one on one time with her and talking/listening to her. It's amazing the amount of things she understands and can express even at 2 years old. She remembers things sometimes that surprise us!
I am so proud of her and can't wait to watch her as a big sister.
Rewind to Christmas
Best Christmas gift...
After we celebrated Christmas with my family, my Mom said she had one more gift for me and my sister. She brought out one for me and one for Kel. Tears immediately started flowing. She made these pictures/boards for us that had so many great Christmas memories. The colors and how she put them together were just perfect. I am sure they will be hanging in our home forever! I couldn't get over how neat it was. I loved reading every word. It meant so much to us. Thanks, Mama.
Take a minute to read this... it's actually really funny:
