So recently we moved from Brier Creek to Wake Forest... Middle of August to be exact. We had been trying to sell our sweet two bedroom town home for 2 years off an on with no success. Once we had Eva Grace she was sleeping in our bedroom and we decided it was time to try again once she was out of the newborn stage. I could not picture myself preparing a home for showings with Adelyn and a 4 month old...but somehow we did it and our house was on the market for only a week I think. We had a ton of showings that one week and I remember for one showing taking all of the dirty dishes and other random things and throwing them in a tote bag in our car. It was craziness but we were so thankful it happened so quick that time. We spent the next few weeks packing and house hunting. We looked a few homes and THEN we saw our home in Heritage. We fell in love but tried not to get our hopes up. We looked at a few others houses to be sure this was the one. We made an offer and the Lord just smoothed out all of the little details. We were so excited but it didn't feel real yet that we would be moving our little family out of the first place that we had come home to after our honeymoon, Adelyn's first home, Eva's first home...so many memories. Both of our closings were on the same day and that went pretty smoothly as well. We praise the Lord for the opportunity to have a house now with a yard...and Eva has her own bedroom. Yay! We are still getting settled in but love it so far.
I didn't anticipate having a hard time with such a big transition. While I LOVE our new home, I have been going through a big transition. Going from working part time, still adjusting to having 2 kids and moving across town and everything is new. It has been hard but the Lord has carried me through and I know will continue to.
2 Corinthians 12:9
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Our last morning in brier creek.
Last bath.
Jumping in the boxes.
Packing the truck.
Last picture after packing and cleaning. Sweaty and to say that I had been sobbing would be an understatement.
This picture was taken right after our closing.
Sweet Adelyn on our porch the night we moved in.
Picture of our home the first night.
Daniel and Adelyn feeding the fish in our back yard (the pond is no longer there because of the safety issue).
Daniel mowing our grass for the first time.
I will take more pictures of the inside and post soon.
