We have been to the new and improved Pullen Park twice in the past month. Once with Adelyn's 'boyfriend' and then again with her Daddy. She had a blast exploring with Everette. The seesawed, rode the train, climbed and ran around. When she went with Daniel, I came for a few minutes on my lunch break and got to watch her ride the boats and carousel. Crazy because I remember riding these when I was little.

Rapunzel Let Down Your Hair
So this morning I helped Adelyn build this "tower" (from the movie Tangled). She loves to wear the tiara/braid that she got at her friend Halle's birthday party. She will come to the edge of the landing and hand me the end of the braid and pretend like she is pulling me up into the tower (her idea). We like to sit there and smell her flowers, sing songs, play a new clapping game and just talk. She is SUCH a girly girl.
Tangled Hair
Pro of having long hair: 2 year old daughter calls you "Tangled" and LOVES to play with it.
Con of having long hair: It hurts!

Juice Boxes and Gold Fish
I am so so blessed to be able to be with Adelyn 5 days out of the week. I am currently working only 2 days out of the week. Mom is still keeping sweet little girl while I work (another huge blessing). When Baby Girl #2 arrives I will be staying home full time. This will take some adjusting for me, because I am so used to being on the go all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy about staying home with both of them, but I will have to adjust. During these last few days of it just being Adelyn and me I am trying to cherish every moment (crying now). The other day when it was warm we had a picnic at the park.
She absolutely loves drinking a juice box. We always buy her the fruitables kind so that she is getting vegetables as well (makes it justifiable right?) :) I just love spending that one on one time with her and talking/listening to her. It's amazing the amount of things she understands and can express even at 2 years old. She remembers things sometimes that surprise us!
I am so proud of her and can't wait to watch her as a big sister.
Rewind to Christmas
Best Christmas gift...
After we celebrated Christmas with my family, my Mom said she had one more gift for me and my sister. She brought out one for me and one for Kel. Tears immediately started flowing. She made these pictures/boards for us that had so many great Christmas memories. The colors and how she put them together were just perfect. I am sure they will be hanging in our home forever! I couldn't get over how neat it was. I loved reading every word. It meant so much to us. Thanks, Mama.
Take a minute to read this... it's actually really funny:

Sweet Cousins
Adelyn and Zoe had a sleepover last week. We had a blast. The girls played so well together and were both excited to sleep in the same house and wake up together. During the day we made a trip to Michaels and they got to pick out a couple of crafts. They were both very excited about all of the hearts everywhere. After some negotiations they decided on a wooden heart to paint and a heart necklace kit. They had a great time working on them together.
I have a really funny video of them dancing that I wish I could post but they weren't quite dressed appropriately so I will just stick with these pictures:)

Tiny Dancer
Here is Miss Adelyn doing her first technique across the floor in her first class. I love how she tries so hard in the beginning and then gets distracted by the "dots".
They don't allow the parents in the class room for most classes. This is why I am taking video from the monitor. It's funny watching her the whole time not being able to hear what she is saying.
So proud of how she is doing. We have started a tradition of stopping by McDonald's and sharing a plan ice cream sunday after class. I did this the first day just to treat her because I was so proud of how she did and the fact that she didn't cry at all. Well, she didn't forget and asked after her second class if we could go to McDonald's again. How could this pregnant girl say no to ice cream!

Baby Bush
Adelyn and I went on a short walk yesterday. We were in our neighborhood and she saw this little bush. She said "look, mama, a baby bush". I said, "yes, isn't it cute". She says, "And a mama bush. The baby bush is just like the mama bush. I'm just like my mama. This is my mama",(with a smile on her face and pointed to me).
It melted my heart. It also reminded me how closely those little 2 year old eyes are watching me.
I couldn't resist taking a picture of the 2 bushes.

32 weeks
Just so that I can remember this lovely memory with baby girl number 2... I am sitting up in bed while Daniel sleeps beside me with killer acid reflux. I have taken medicine but have yet to be able to even lay down. As I play on my phone, I can't help but think about her and pray for her. I hate that we have not completely decided on her name yet but I know that will come. She is so special to us already! Only 2 months or less and we will be bringing another little girl home. And by the way I feel right now... Probably with a head full of hair haha:).
I need to be better about taking belly pics! I will post more updates on where she is going to fit into our little home and pictures soon!
